Throughout this full-day private tour we will discover the beauty and the history of some of the most emblematic and charming villages in Aragón.
At the gates of the National Park of Ordesa and Monteperdido, we will visit one of the most beautiful villages in the Pyrenees; Torla. In the middle of a glacial valley, this village, with its amazing natural surroundings and its typical stone houses, represents one of the most charming postcards in Spain.
Following the course of the Ara river, the last virgin river in the Pyrenees, we will arrive in Aínsa, a medieval village considered as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain thanks to its Romanesque church, its main square and its traditional stone houses. Aínsa was the capital of the ancient County of Sobrarbe and played a main role in the beginning of the Kingdom of Aragón. Through its cobbled streets we will discover the history and the heritage of this charming village.
It is lunchtime. We will stop in Coscojuela de Sobrarbe and you will have lunch in one of the best restaurants in the Aragonese Pyrenees. Traditional Pyrenean cuisine with a touch of modern.
Last stop Alquézar, a medieval village which was founded in the 9th century, during the moorish occupation. This charming village still keeps its amazing medieval atmosphere, due to its well-preserved historic centre and its imposing castle, which is one of the most important monuments in Aragón, thanks to its wall, its towers and its cloisters. The surroundings are also full of charm, because Alquézar is located close to the “Sierra de Guara” Natural Park, one of the biggest protected natural areas in Northern Spain.
